Much like the greatest businesses on earth, our story begins in a driveway. When I (Matthew McIvor) lost my own business early into the pandemic, aside from drinking plenty of alcohol, I began to perfect my smash burger recipe.

 

From an electric griddle to a tabletop and a dozen recipe alterations later, the driveway pop up began. 15 minutes into my first pop up, I turned to my wife, Jenn, and said "I'm never doing this again" but since I am not one to quit so easily, I marched on and something beautiful was born.

After months of pop-ups and with the love and endless support of the community we have opened our first brick+mortar in Hermosa Beach, CA.
